Monday Morning Motivation: Do It Now

We don't realize how much weight we are carrying around. Not on our bodies but in our heads. Every nagging, undone task is floating around in there somewhere, weighing us down, clogging our minds. The clutter in our homes, cars and offices weighs heavily on us whether we realize it or not.

I challenge you to take the next week to find every small, unfinished task you can and make it happen. Make a list of everything you can think of and make a game out of tackling them. Use a bluetooth headset to make all those phone calls you've been putting off and you can multitask while you do it.

Yes, I realize it's the week before Christmas, that's why I said "small tasks". We will tackle the bigger ones on January 1st. But, I promise you, if you spend just a few minutes each day this week clearing out all those simple nagging things you haven't wanted to deal with, you will enjoy the holidays with your friends and family so much more.

Bonus? Studies indicate that clearing clutter and accomplishing tasks can overflow into other areas of your life such as making healthier food choices!

But fitness goals aside, your mind will thank you. You will feel lighter and more positive when you sit at your cleared, organized desk. Having a "place for everything and everything in its place" will result in reduced stress when you're rushing out the door and know just where to find your keys and purse/wallet. 

For Christmas this year, give yourself the gift of a completed "to do" list and the peace and tranquility that comes along with it.
